Regional Administrator, Sara Laney, has joined the WMT-AHEC staff to assist Frank Reed, MD with coordination of clinical rotations for 3rd & 4th year Pacific Northwest University osteopathic medical students at Western Montana hospitals. The program is aimed at bringing healthcare professionals to rural Montana in order to improve access to quality healthcare.
The Rural Behavioral Health—Primary Care Collaborative is a program that integrates a prelicensed clinical social worker and postdoctorate psychology graduate into primary care rural health clinics. Currently, participating facilities include Northwest Community Health Center, in Libby, Deer Lodge Medical Center, and Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital, in Glasgow.
