Indigenous-Led Public Health Summit
What to expect:
On behalf of a shared effort among the Western Montana Area Health Education Center and the Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana, we are thrilled to announce the upcoming Indigenous-Led Public Health Summit, which will take place on October 2, 2024, at Salish Kootenai College. This summit aims to bring together thoughtful leaders, practitioners, and community-focused organizations to discuss and address critical public health issues facing Indigenous communities. More than the issues, the event is meant to hear about how programs address public health issues that center on Indigenous, traditional knowledge, and collaborative approaches. We hope the space is centered on celebration, cultural strengths, and protective factors when seeking to improve health.
