Advancing Health Equity through Mentoring Program
Current health science and allied health program students are our future of healthcare providers. Hosted and sponsored by Western Montana Area Health Education Center, partnered with the Family Medicine Residency of Western Montana, a pilot program focused on the importance of mentorship will support students at the University of Montana. Our goal is to create a space of mentorship and networking that reaches across socioeconomic groups, cultures, science and allied health areas of study. This will be achieved by core tenants of health equity, professional development, and humanization of care. Mentors will include healthcare or allied health professionals across WMT-AHEC's identified western counties.
