The Western Montana Health Equity Taskforce was established in March of 2022 with the purpose to identify health equity gaps and address siloed efforts among the region's counties. Focused on bringing communities, counties, and organizations together for education, brainstorming, and problem solving WMT-AHEC held monthly meetings around issues facing the populations in the seven western counties: Lake, Missoula, Mineral, Ravalli, Sanders, Lincoln, & Flathead. 

Beginning May 2024, the taskforce will shift to "WMT Health Equity Collaborative" which will focus on monthly meetings, education from the region and state, project share outs, trainings, and grant application and implementation brainstorming.
